2021 Subaru Outback Overview

What's New For 2021?

After the previous model year's complete overhaul, the new 2021 Subaru Outback sees only a few minor changes. Adaptive LED headlamps that turn along with the steering wheel add a new layer of safety and security to your nighttime driving around Virginia and beyond in your new Outback. In the back, a couple rear-seat reminders are now in place, one to remind passengers to closer their doors upon exiting, and another for seat belt use, keeping everyone as safe as can be.

Performance and Technology

Two different four-cylinder engines are available with the new 2021 Subaru Outback. The first is a capable and efficient 2.5-liter four-cylinder, producing 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. For more power, and at the expense of a few mpgs, upgrade to the available turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder. This produces 260 horsepower with 277 pound-feet of torque. Along with a heightened ground clearance and a premium suspension system, it's the Outback's standard Subaru Symmetrical AWD system that allows you to travel through all sorts of terrains and through all kinds of weather.

There's no shortage of smart technology in the new 2021 Subaru Outback. In the base level, you get a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth and smartphone integration, among other features. In higher trims, you upgrade to a larger, tablet-style touchscreen with even more features. For safety, the Subaru EyeSight suite comes standard, bundling automatic emergency braking with other driver aids, while the higher trims add more for your confidence and protection out on the road.
